1. Exposes suck. Especially ones in french, especially when the girl with the expose last week strayed from her topic and ended up talking about my topic for 20 minutes, so now there's nothing left to say.
2. I got my first semester grades today and they weren't too bad! I apparently just barely passed my final exam in my cours magistral, but the conference grade was good enough to pull me up. Unfortunately I don't think the same will happen again this semester since my conference is not all international students, and its a lot harder :-/.
3. I'm going to a soccer game tomorrow! France vs. Lithuania, a World Cup qualifier! Yes, the night before my expose. I make smart decisions.
4. I want to be home really badly this week. It's Greek Week at Tech, and makes me miss life there even more!
5. Charlie is officially coming for my birthday (in less than a month!), and my mom and two of our family friends are now coming at the end of May and taking me to Nice!! When you find $450 flights to Paris, you HAVE to take advantage of them! :-D
6. Listen to how crazy the rest of my time is Paris is:
-I leave for the cruise in 12 days. April 13-20th I'm cruising around the Greek Isles.
-April 24th, Charlie flies in, my birthday is the next day (with a 4 hour midterm--happy birthday :-/)
-Charlie leaves the following Wednesday morning. Thursday afternoon I get on a bus full of Sciences-Po students and drive down to Barcelona for the weekend!
-I get back Monday morning, just in time for my class :)
-I've got about three weeks to relax...or probably do something cool.
-Mom&friends arrive the last wednesday in May, we go to Nice, they leave the next Wednesday.
-My friend Nicole arrives that Friday, June 5th, and stays until the 18th.
-I have exams on the 19th and 23rd.
-I fly home June 30th.
I know, I can barely keep up with myself. So if I am a little MIA sometimes...that is probably why! It's hectic but I'm really excited about all of it!
I'm almost to the point where I'm starting to realize that my time left in Paris is limited...but not quite yet. You'll still catch me wishing I was home from time to time, but that's just my personality I guess. It's funny how some people I've talked to here absolutely love it here, they feel more confortable here in Paris than they do at home, and then there's the rest of us, that appreciate Paris and its beauty, but still prefer our lives back home. I wonder what it is that makes that difference, whether some of us are more adaptable, whether some people really do just "fit" better in a certain environment. Either way, I'm glad I'm here, I'm experience a ton, but I'll still be happy to return to my life in Atlanta :)
Now-- expose time. I want to finish before I go to bed....unlikely.
